Senior Section

Senior Section carseniorsSenior Section members are aged 14 -25 and can be Rangers, Young Leaders or Unit Guiders.

As a Senior Section member you can participate in the new Look Wider programme, working with your peers or on your own to achieve personal goals and explore special interests. Members can take part in lots of challenging activities and projects, at home and aboard.

At 16 you can choose to work on the Adult Leadership Qualification, becoming a warranted Guider at 18.

Members learn teamwork, how to organise and communicate effectively, acquire new skills and develop confidence, all things that look good on a CV! Senior Section members have lots of fun and make friendships that can last for life, so why not join us?

Think Big

Think Big is a project with the O2 and the National Youth Agency (NYA). Girlguiding UK have been awarded 25 grants of £300 to put a project which you create into action. Click on the link above to find out more.

RSPB

A special cloth badge is to be produced to celebrate the partnership between Girlguiding Cymru and RSPB Cymru, who are commemorating their Centenary during 2011. Find out how you can be awarded one of the badges and help wildlife in Wales by taking part in one or more of several projects.

The Commonwealth Jubilee Time Capsule

The Royal Commonwealth Society (RCS) is running the world’s largest history project to mark Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee in 2012. This is a tremendous chance to develop your troop’s creative media, communication skills and promote inter-generational understanding. It will also help the Girl Guides to learn about different cultures and countries across the globe, as they compile this people’s history of the past 60 years.
