Girlguiding Cymru members feature in the latest issue of the girls magazine “ANIMALS & YOU”. The partnership with the RSPB and Girlguiding Cymru takes up a double page spread and photos of Brownies & Guides taking part in activities at RSPB Reserves, as well as the Challenge Badge are featured.

Do you need to practise for Bronze, Silver or Gold, undertake your Queen’s Guide Outdoor Challnge, or carry out your final expedition for your Bronze or Silver Award? If so, then this is for you!

Do you have any budding artists or designers in your Rainbow unit? This is their chance to design a badge to celebrate 25 years of Rainbows. The winning entry will be produced as a badgeand on sale at the Rainbow Extravaganza on May 12th, as well as being on sale to Rainbows everywhere.

The Band of the Welsh Guards are on tour in March at Aberystwyth, Brecon and Llanelli, and have told us “It would be amazing to see some of the girls at any of our concerts, and we will give them a warm welcome!

“All eyes on the skies” – Are you taking part in the RSPB’s “Big Garden Bird Watch” this weekend? You have up until the 30th January to count birds at home or outside your unit meeting place and can then record your results online. Don’t worry if you haven’t yet registered….there is still time to go online or send your results to Girlguiding Cymru who can send in your results for you.

A Walking Weekend & approved Girlguiding Level 2 Training & Assessment is to be held from 23rd to 25th March at Carneddau, Snowdonia. This is open to all members of Guiding over the age of 18, with a £10 discount for Girlguiding Cymru members.

Did you know that Rainbows are 25 years old this year? Happy Birthday! Come to the Rainbow Birthday Extravaganza at Broneirion on Saturday 12th May to join in the celebrations………

Broneirion is organising a number of events during 2012, opening the house and grounds to all visitors. These start on the 18th March with a special Mothering Sunday lunch, Broneirion Easter Food Fayre on the 7th April, and much more….
