RSPB Partnership with Girlguiding Cymru

A special cloth badge has been  produced to celebrate the partnership between Girlguiding Cymru and RSPB Cymru, who are commemorating their Centenary during 2011.

The badge is now available, at a cost of £1 each, and will be awarded to all members of Girlguiding Cymru who have taken part in one of the following projects.

Please click here to download an order form

OPERATION SNOWY OWL (Big Garden Birdwatch/Make your Nature Count/Field Monitoring)

OPERATION BARN OWL (Fundraising/ Nest Boxes/Starling Nest Boxes)

OPERATION TAWNY OWL (Nature Reserve Visits)

OPERATION SHORT EARED OWL (Letter to the Future)

You can click on the links above to find details of each of the “Operation Owl” projects in which you may wish to participate (you can sign up for all of them if you wish!)

Counties are already arranging visits for their members, to RSPB reserves, and a number of units and individuals took part in the “Big Garden Birdwatch” at the end of January.

A registration form is available  for you to fill in and send back, which will provide information to Girlguiding Cymru and RSPB Cymru of participating numbers for each, and an approximation of badges needed. A post will be added to the website when the badges are available.

Click here to download the registration form.

Many members have registered for the “Beyond the Duck” challenge. Some clauses of the challenge may be combined with the RSPB project.
