Japan fund-raising badge

A group of Guiders, after seeing the aftermath of the devastating earthquake and tsunami in Japan, have joined together to design & sell a badge to raise funds to help the people of Japan, via the charity Shelterbox. It will be sold for £2.00 plus 60 pence  p.&p.
Click here to download a poster with a picture of the badge and details of how to buy. Please forward to all your Guiding & Scouting contacts, and everyone else!!
Shelterbox has been chosen as it is a well-established charity which continues to help people in many countries after war and natural disasters.
They send boxes of emergency equipment including specially designed family tents, stoves, cooking equipment, water purification, sleeping equipment, children’s activity packs etc. In some affected areas, they also work with Scouts and Guides to help people make the most from their boxes.

To those who bought, and encouraged others to buy, the ‘Helping Hands for Haiti’ badges last year, you were one of over 10,000 who helped raise over £20,000 for UNICEF’s Haiti Childrens’ appeal.

We hope these badges will help raise just as much to help more people affected by such life-changing events.
