Spend a weekend in Mid Wales with as few or as many girls from your unit who wish to attend. Opportunities to meet new people, make friends, have fun or simply relax at Broneirion. Open to all sections; (under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult member). A variety of unsupervised activities are available for your use, create your own itinerary, or plan a day out. We are happy to provide information about transport links and local attractions.

“Why nature is so important to me?”

The winning candidate will be given an induction to the RSPB and an action agenda for her day as Director prior to her joining us at our Cardiff HQ at 9.00am on the 22^nd May 2012.

The day will also involve representing Girlguiding Cymru and RSPB Cymru at an evening reception at Cardiff Bay Wales Millennium Centre. The evening will be supported by representatives from Welsh Guiding, (Rainbows to Trefoil Guild) and attended by members of Welsh Government as well as representatives from other environmental organisations and RSPB supporters.

The closing date for all entries is 12 noon on the 26th April 2012 (extended deadline)

Saturday 19th May – “Lily May” Family Portraits

10.00am – 5.00pm.  Book an appointment with the excellent “Lily May Photography” to have your family portraits taken at Broneirion. “Lily May Photography” cover Events such as Proms, Charity Balls, Corporate, Weddings and Family Portraits throughout Mid Wales and The Borders.
Thursday 12th July – Summer Charity Concert

Enjoy a Summer concert at Broneirion with music provided by Rhayader Male Voice Choir, Newtown Silver Band, soloists Ms. Sarah Board, mr. Glyn Jones and special guests.  No need to worry about the weather as the concert is taking place in a marquee Fully  licensed bar and refreshments. Tickets £10.00. Contact Broneirion to book.

Friday 13th July – 60′s, 70′s & 80′s Disco & BBQ

Dance through the decades at a themed 60′s, 70′s & 80′s disco with Carlsbro Sound at Broneirion on Friday 13th July, 2012. Starting at 7.30pm, spend the evening dancing in the marquee, enjoying the visual effects and relaxing around the barbeque with freshly cooked food and an ice cold drink. Friday 20th – Sunday 22nd July – Residential Arts Weekend

Mid Wales Arts Centre, working in partnership with Broneirion are pleased to offer a very special Arts Weekend with the option of staying at either venue. All meals, accommodation, entertainment and materials are included in the price.
You can choose to develop either your printmaking or photographical skills. The print making course will be led by internationally acclaimed printmaker and Head of Printmaking at Aberystwyth University, Andrew Baldwin. The Landscape course will be led by photographer Richard Booth, BA.
Cost for the weekend, inclusive of meals, materials, and entertainment will range from £250 (landscape photography) – £275 (printmaking) per person.
Partners are welcome to attend the weekend who do not wish to participate in either workshop, at a cost of £185. There is much to enjoy locally including golf, shooting, walking, fishing, cycling, pony trekking and there is the option of extending your stay to explore beautiful Mid Wales. Sunday 5th August – Wedding Fair

Broneirion is now fully licensed for weddings, and is the perfect venue to hold your reception. Visit our Wedding Fair to view the House and Grounds with your special day in mind, and whilst here choose your dress, flowers, invitations and other wedding services from local suppliers. Free entry.

Wednesday 22nd & Thursday 23rd August – An Invitation to Visit Broneirion for Afternoon Tea

Enjoy a tour of our beautiful Grade II listed House, the former home of David Davies of Llandinam, stroll around attractive landscaped grounds, followed by afternoon tea in the Drawing Room and an illustrated talk presented by  a representative of the RSPB or the Species Habitat Group (barn owls & bats).
2.00pm – 5.00pm – £7.50 per person

Sunday 26th August – Broneirion Craft Fair

An opportunity to visit Broneirion to buy gifts and products from local craftspeople, admire and find out about unusual crafts and perhaps have a go, or to treat yourself to a special present. Food available and fully licensed bar, entertainment and children’s activities. We guarantee that there will be something for everyone. Adults £3.50 entrance, Children £1.00.

Friday 7th December – Community Carol Singing

Join us around the Christmas Tree to sing carols and see Broneirion festively decorated for Christmas.  Mince pies, refreshments and fully licensed bar. No charge.

Saturday 8th December – Santa’s Grotto

Once again Y Bwthyn will be magically transformed so Santa can stop here for a day. Boys and girls may visit him to tell him their Christmas wishes, and each  visitor will receive a special present.

Christmas Dinners – 12th, 13th, 14th & 15th December

Broneirion will again be open for Christmas lunches and festive evening meals. Book your group early to avoid disappointment.

Sunday 16th December Christmas Fair – 11.00am – 4.00pm
