Rainbows Go Wild

A badge is now available to buy to celebrate “Rainbows Go Wild 2010″ which will be taking place during the Summer months at 10 different zoos across the UK. Rainbows will be able to experience the magic of seeing different animals and take part in special Rainbow activities and games. The badges are on sale at a cost of £1 each and can be ordered from The Lodge, Broneirion, Llandinam, Powys. SY17 5DD. Cheques are to be made payable to Girlguiding Cymru.

Please add the following amounts to your total order to cover postage costs:

Orders up to 10 badges add 59p postage.

Orders up to 20 badges add 85p postage.

Orders up to 30 badges add £1.23 postage.

Hats for Haiti

Girlguiding Cymru challenges ALL units to hold a “Hats for Haiti” evening to raise money to help the people of Haiti following the devastating earthquake. Challenge girls to wear a hat for the evening for a small sum of money – prizes could be given for the best decorated, most unusual, etc. The first batch of money will be sent at the end of March. Please make cheques payable to Girlguiding Cymru and send to The Lodge, Broneirion, Llandinam, Powys SY17 5DD.

Bristol area Guides have produced a badge which can be bought in aid of Haiti. The Guider, Rachel Flook, is asking for a minimum donation of £2 per badge. The money will be donated via Unicef to help the people of Haiti.

Cheques for minimum of £2 per badge, plus a SAE to return them, should be sent to:

SNOWDONIA APPROVED LEVEL 2 WALKING TRAINING WEEKEND

A Level 2 training course aimed at Adult Leaders wishing to extend their existing skills, to learn how to lead groups safely in the hills, and work towards gaining a walking qualification. The course will include practical and theoretical sessions on:
•Route Planning
•Leadership Responsibilities
•Navigation
•Equipment

There will be several led walks of varying grades from teashop walks to mountain walks. This is a perfect opportunity to gain further hill walking experience or to explore a new area. No previous experience of hill walking is needed, just a pair of walking boots and some enthusiasm!

ALL APPLICANTS MUST BE OVER 18
The full cost for the weekend is £55.
This cost includes food and accommodation but excludes personal travel to and from the venue.

National Scout & Guide Symphony Orchestra
