Broneirion Conference & Residential Centre

Broneirion is set in the heart of mid Wales, just a few hundred yards from the A470 and close to rail links, Broneirion is an ideal location for meetings, conferences, school trips and residential courses, family gatherings, weddings and holidays. Broneirion, originally the home of David Davies the great Victorian entrepreneur, is situated in four acres of landscaped grounds overlooking the River Severn and the village of Llandinam. It makes a wonderful setting for the Grade 2 listed pale stone coloured House with its Welsh slate roof.

Meetings & conferences

Whether you require a venue for a day seminar or a residential conference Broneirion has a range of modern and versatile facilities to meet your needs while still retaining its original charm. Six meeting rooms can be styled to your requirements, the largest for meetings of up to approximately 55 persons. We have 20 bedrooms, including one on the ground floor, which are all individually furnished to a very high standard and include tea/coffee making facilities.


Broneirion is fully licensed by for Civil Weddings and Partnerships, so if you wish, you may hold both your Ceremony and Reception here at Broneirion.

Set in four acres of natural outstanding beauty, Broneirion, a Victorian Country Mansion, is situated in the pretty village of Llandinam in Powys, only a two hour drive from Cardiff and Birmingham. Broneirion is the perfect place for a small intimate gathering or a large family wedding.

The Drawing Room, Oak Panelled Billiard Room and The Library are all licensed for Civil Ceremonies. In addition we have a large Marquee on the lawn for larger receptions.

Broneirion can cater for up to 50 persons dining in the house or 150 persons dining in the marquee. There are 20 individually furnished bedrooms in the main house and a self-contained flat which is ideal for families.

Group Accommodation

Broneirion is the perfect location for large family gatherings, residential field studies, environmental and history trips, an ideal base to plan and run a Duke of Edinburgh Expedition or for a break to enjoy the surroundings. The source of the Severn is only a few miles from Llandinam, and the Severn Way Walk passes just above Broneirion. The source of the River Wye also starts from the area. Outdoor Centres are a short drive away, offering such activities as abseiling, sailing, kayaking and orienteering. C.A.T. (Centre for Alternative Technology) is within easy travelling distance, as is the coast, numerous nature reserves, historic castles and places to visit and explore.

On site Broneirion offers extensive grounds, with several flat lawn areas, plus a wooded bank with paths. There is a Camp Fire circle, and areas for lighting fires. We also have a Bouldering Hut and 4 Orienteering courses. Outdoor games equipment, circus skills apparatus, pioneering poles, geo-caching, archery, giant inflatable assault course and more are available on site.

There is a shop stocking souvenirs, craft materials and essentials, as well as a fully licensed bar.

Self-Catering Accommodation

A perfect base from which to explore the beautiful surrounding area of Mid Wales is Broneirion Lodge. The pretty cottage at the bottom of the driveway sleeps up to six persons and is available for a minimum of three nights.

Also available is our self-contained flat accommodating up to four persons (1 bedroom).
