FAREWELL FELICITY

Chief Commissioner, Felicity Ladbrooke has finished her term of office after five fantastic years. A farewell and thank you tea was held for Felicity at Broneirion on Sunday, 4th October with over 100 members attending.

During the afternoon Felicity presented members with a number of awards including the Silver Dragon to Rebecca Ode, Caroline Harries and Rachael Clutton-Haines.  Welsh Thanks badges were presented to the Board of Trustees, County Commissioners and a number of well deserving members including Rhian Rees and Rachel ode, Peer Education Co-ordinators for Wales.  June Jones and Helena Thomas were presented with a special star clock for all their help and work they have undertaken with the Archives Project ‘Bringing History to Life’.

We are constantly looking for more nominations for awards, if you require further information or wish to nominate a deserving member please contact our Awards Chair jean.roderick2@btinternet.com

We will all miss Felicity as our Chief Commissioner and so will the UK where Felicity has been a essential member of the Girlguiding Chief Commissioners Team.  She has been a great ambassador and will continue to be a member of the UK Trading Board.

Felicity has moved Girlguiding Cymru forward with achievements in Wales including:
  • Revitalised the organisational structure for the future
  • Commercialisation of Broneirion
  • Promotion of Girlguiding Cymru as a professional, trusted and caring organisation
We would also like to thank Felicity's deputies, Lesley Mathews and Viv Craig for their hard work and dedication over the past five years.

Best wishes for the future all.
