Broneirion is a beautiful Victorian House, nestling in its own grounds on the hillside across the river Severn from the village of Llandinam. In 1992 it became the property of Girlguiding Cymru and celebrated 50 years in 1997. Down through the years it has seen many Guiders pass through its doors for trainings and on holidays. The glorious Welsh countryside is all around, making it an ideal base from which to visit both mountains and coastline.
Broneirion runs an interesting and wide-ranging programme of Trainings during the year. It offers comfortable accommodation for up to 45 people in a selection of single, twin and shared rooms. We offer family holidays, walking events and Trefoil Guild holidays. Unit holidays and midweek breaks can be arranged in the house on a catered basis.
Conference rooms, equipment and full facilities are available to Guiding and external organisations.
We have two comfortable self contained flats both accommodating up to four people.
Cae Gwenllian is a flat campsite equipped for up to 24 campers or unequipped for up to 60. The campsite is in a picturesque setting, with flush toilets and running water on site.
By car: Llandinam is situated on the A470 between Llanidloes and Newtown. Turn off the A470 at the Statue of Davies of Llandinam. Proceed over the bridge and along the road for approximately 200 yards. (Coaches, please contact the House for directions)
By Train: The nearest Railway station is Caersws (3 miles) on the Aberystwyth line. There are also stations at Newtown (9 miles) and Shrewsbury (42 miles). Trains will be met at Caersws whenever possible, if definite times of arrival can be given.
By Coach: There is a daily coach service from London to Aberystwyth stopping at Llandinam.
